Abstract	:	Recently hybrid electric vehicles have gained attention due to the increased concern about fuel economy and emissions. Global climate change has become an issue of primary concern. The ever-depleting natural resources of oil have made people to think of the alternative ways of transportation. Though hybrids do not completely rule out the usage of crude oil, they decrease its usage to a considerable extent. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) have electric energy storage systems such as batteries, ultra capacitors, or flywheels and power units such as an internal combustion engine (ICE) or a fuel cell.
