Abstract	:	Smart sensor networks consist of collections of networked nodes C O M ~ C ~ ~ tosensor and actuator peripherals. Each node has its own CPU and memory, allowing it toperform efficient data collection, make independent decisions, or work with a subgroupof nodes in a distributed manner. Recent low-cost, highly integrated microcontrollershave made smart sensor networks an attractive option for many applications. In thispaper, a smart sensor network protocol based on the I ~ C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) bus isdeveloped and analyzed.
