Abstract : This thesis explores the problem of object tracking using vision-based systems. Thegoal of this thesis is to develop a real-time object tracking algorithm that requires littleuser input. does not require a great deal of computing power and is robust in terms ofocclusion. scene illumination, distractors. outliers. etc. Algorithms are implemented totrack moving objects that undergo two-dimensional planar rotations and translationsbased on images coilected from a single camera.
