Abstract	:	Thin film coatings of nitride and carbide films and coatings have been widely used inindustry with applications ranging from corrosion, wear resistance and decoration coatingto diffusion barriers in microelectronic devices. Nitride and carbide are superhardmaterial with a high potential for applications in different fields. In this researchsuperIattice or multilayer carbidehitride coatings were deposited by Pulsed LaserDeposition (PLD) techniques.
