Abstract	:	This thesis presents comparisons between Output Error and Equation Erroroptimization formulations using sensitivity analysis to study parameter estimatesconditioning to input signals at different operatins conditions. Subset selectionmethodology based on sensitivity analysis is developed to reduce ill-conditioning ofinduction machine parameters estimates. Off-line parameter estimation taking intoconsideration the sensitivity and Jacobian conditioning analysis is presented. Simulationresults showed that Output Error formulation is better conditioned than Equation Errorfor PWM and six-step voltage inputs.
