Abstract	:	The relative merit of using intensity image data versus height image data in a correlationbased target acquisition system is investigated, Composite correlation filters having optimaltrade-off parameters are wd to expose detection and classification characteristics unique to thedata types under investigation This research provides insight to using laser radar data withexisting target acquisition system technology, and differs h m other published research bycomparing the detection and classification performance of correlation filters for both the intensityand height image data available from a laser radar.This research was partially supported by The U.
