Abstract	:	The problem of filter construction for the point to point impulse response in a room is ex-amined. Infinite impulse response (IIR) filters are of particular interest in this regard. Itwill be shown that such filters can be constructed fkom image based models. The use ofsubband IIR filter models are investigated. Our model provides perfect reconsauction ofearly arrivals. The late arrivals in the impulse response are in agreement only in the leastsquared sense. Experimental results will be given for the room impulse response. Thetransmission channel between a sotirce and a receiver in a room is identified by the mea-sure of it's impulse response.
