Abstract : Mobile robots are becoming more common in the industry and safetyissues need to be addressed. Using multiple sets of different types of sensorsthe safety of robot operation can be improved. This thesis looks at theprogramming aspects of interpreting the sets of sensors to provide the robot withdirectional information to navigate around objects and to prevent the robot fromleaving its workcell.There are three main goals of the thesis.
