Abstract	:	Even though desiccant dehumidificati011 has been used fir m y years, it is still figbthgto reach a good positim in the commercial area. In order to increase awareness of desiccanttechnology, this study provides a comparison of energy cost between carventid systems anddesiccant enhand systems. The cornparim includes the anaIysis of energy costs and usages fordifferent applications and several locatims. DesiCalc was used to generate the data m this work.It was found that humid and h a cities fivor the used of desiccant systems. But in some cities withcoo1 weather, desiccant systems show advantages over conveatiaml systems. The analyses of theenergy cost as a firnaiar of the building type sham that the best applicatiais for desiccantenhanced systems are schools, retail stores, and large h-ls.
