Abstract	:	This thesis presents the development of a compact low-voltage nil-to-rail outputclass-AB operational amplifier in fully-depleted SOI technology. FD-SO1 op ampsimulated device performance is provided. The advantages of FD-SO1 technology overbulk-CMOS technology for analog design in systems-on-a-chip (SOAC) applications arehighlighted by the comparison between this FD-SO1 op amp and several bulk-CMOS opamps. This thesis discusses device characteristics of SO1 technology and provides severaldesign guidelines. Design techniques for low voltage op amps are also presented. Theobjective of this research was to present the use of FD-SOI technology over bulk-CMOStechnology for implementing a high performance and robust op amp with low supplyvoltage.
