Abstract	:	Hierarchical conceptual clustering has been proven to k a useful, although greatlyunderexplored data mining technique. A graph-based representation of structuralinformation combined with a substmcturt discovery technique has been shown to besuccessful in knowledge discovery. The SUBDUE substructure discovery systemprovides the advantages of both approaches. This work presents SUBDUE and thedevelopment of its clustering functionalities. Several examples are used to illustrate thevalidity of the approach both in structured and unsrmctud domains, iu well as compareSUBDUE to earlier clustering algorithms.
