Then we consider 11011-ergodic cliannel.wtme w e c d u a t e asymptotic expressiorl for the outage probability ant1 note its strik-ing similarity with thc error probability. After that. we corisider a simple trarismitdiversity tccliniquc [TI, and evaluatc its achievable inforrnatiori rate. We note thatin the case of a single receiver antenna tliere is no loss in capacity if one rcscnes tothis techriiquc as a mean of esploiting transmit diversity. However. me note that inthe case of multiple receivers tliere is a penalty in capacity.
