Abstract	:	An analog VLSI (aVLSI) implementation of a Continuous-Time RecurrentNeural Network (CTRNN) for microrobot control is presented. The design,simulation, and test results of the fundamental synapse and neuron circuits required toimplement a generic CTRNN are included. An aVW 2x2 C T W oscillator wasdesigned with these circuits and compared to a software simulation of the sameCTRNN. Design and simulation of sensor and actuator interface circuits forcontrolling a microrobot with aVLSI CTRNN circuitry is included, and an analogmemory cell is proposed with preliminary test results presented.
