Abstract	:	This work studies the stochastic modeling and performance analysis of all-opticalnetworks with a focus on closed-form analytical ~olut~ions. For the modeling andperformance analysis, extensive research has been done in wavelength-routed net-worksj some in ~ptical burst-switched networks arid in optical packet-switched net-works. However, most of them are based on an approximate stationary analysis,ordy a few apply time-dependent transient analysis which may be appropriate for to-day's dynamically changing traffic load environment. Therefore, we introduce unifiedproduct-form methods based on time reversibility of Markov chains for stationaryand t,ransient analysis.
