Abstract	:	Neurologists, neuroscientists, and experimental psychologists study electrical activitywithin the brain by recording voltage fluctuations at the scalp. This iselectroencephalography (EEG). In conventional or "wet" EEG, scalp abrasion and use ofelectrolytic paste are required to insure good electrical connection between sensor andskin. Repeated abrasion quickly becomes irritating to subjects, severely limiting thenumber and frequency of sessions.
