Abstract	:	The Taittriya Upanishad (verse 3) asks what is education and replies that it is teacherspeaking to the disciple seated by his side, wisdom between, discourse connecting them.This characterizes my relationship with my advisor Steve Yool, who I admire as a scholarand a human being. I would like to thank my entire dissertation committee as well.Their wisdom, knowledge and guidance were instrumental in not only the production ofthis work, but in the scholar I have become.
