Abstract : A 3-bit artificial neural network flash AX converter is designed, employingCMOS inverters to model the activation function in a neural network basedcomparator circuit. Simulation of the converter confirms its desired behavior.Sofiware and hardware successive approximation AID converters are discussed asalternatives to the proposed 3-bit A/D converter.
