Abstract	:	In this project, the supply of alcohol, one of the raw materials for the commercialscale production of Biodiesel in Puerto Rico, is studied. The feasibility of usingrecovered alcohols from different chemical or pharmaceuticals commercial processesoutput streams in Puerto Rico is established.Several waste streams were analyzed and it was found that the majority of thewaste streams available are wastewater streams with low organic content. Thecomplexity of these mixtures makes the separation process not cost effective for most ofthem.
