Abstract : In tlzls work an effort has been made to simulate a coexistence model forbluetooth - WLAN simultaneous operation and to study the performance behavior of thebluetooth voice packet in the presence of WLAN interference. The mathematicalmodeling of the collision probability shows the collision percentage falls fi-om 75 to37 for the same packet size when the data rate is changed from 5.5 to 11work has been specifically focused on bluetooth voice packets. The mathematicalmodeling is followed by a performance evaluation of the bluetooth voice packets in acoexistence scenario. The performance aspect has been specifically limited to the MAClayer.
