Abstract	:	Inherent vulnerability of wireless networks renders them more susceptible to errors andlosses than classical (wired) media. Some of these errors are not corrected by the physicallayer and result in link layer packet drops. Design of wireless applications can benefitsubstantially from a thorough understanding of this errorlloss phenomenon at the linklayer. This work, within the context of high-bitrate communication, presents statisticalmodeling of errors and losses over an 802.1 1b (wireless) network.
