Abstract	:	A Rainfall Roccssing (RAIN-PROC) computational interactive environment toanalyze, compare, and visualize data of precipitation is presented. Visualizationtechniques are employed to display observations of precipitation from the NextGeneration Radar (NEXRAD) system, rain gauges, and the Tropical Rainfall MeasuringMission - Precipitation Radar (TRMM-PR) satellite. The algorithms to develop thestatistical analysis. the estimation of the 2-R relation using linear regression. to operate,assimilate. and integrate the data were developed. Data comsponding to fall and winterseasons of 1998 and 1999 respectively from NEXRAD and rain gauges are processedusing RAN-PROC. The analyses produce 2-R relationships that are classified bygeographic regions of Puerto Rico (Carter and Elsner. 1997).
