Abstract	:	A majority of all baseline shellfish maps are currently produced through groundsurveys and manual aerial photo interpretation, a tedious process which is time-consuming and prone to human errors. The first objective of this research was toinvestigate and document the feasibility of using remotely sensed imagery to identify andclassify intertidal shellfish resources.
