Abstract	:	This thesis investigates the employment of dierent entropic measures, includingRenyi entropy, in the context of image registration. Specifically, we focus on theentropy estimation problem for image registration and provide theoretical and experimentalcomparisons of two important entropy estimators: the plug-in estimatorand minimal entropic graphs. We further develop an image registration frameworkbased on the graph-theoretic estimator.
