Today we are still usingcatalysis and reaction engineering to search for better ways of manufacturingchemicals, whether it is for increasing productivity or creating environmentallyfriendly processes. The potential that the millisecond catalytic reactors have toreplace conventional lower efficiency processes will come clear in what you are aboutto read.The role that millisecond catalytic reactors play on the development of thehydrogen economy is crucial because they have higher throughputs and smallervolumes than their traditional counter parts. Issues with the storage and productionof hydrogen give an advantage to these reactors because their compact and smallsize makes them highly portable.
