Abstract	:	Electrode flooding, one of the major causes of poor performance of a protonexchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell, is still not fully understood. However, acomprehensive understanding of this phenomenon and the dynamics of water in theelectrode is critical to the optimization of the performance of PEM fuel cells.Mathematical models were developed to study the effect of electrode flooding on thefuel cell performance.
