Abstract : This dissertation reports findings centered principally on comprehensive researchrelated to human bio-signals (EEG, MEG, EMG and fMRI) acquired during repetitivemaximal voluntary contractions (MVC) that induced severe fatigue. Fatigue is a commonexperience that reduces productivity and quality of life and increases chances of injury.Although abundant information has been gained in the last several decades regardingmuscular and spinal-level mechanisms of muscle fatigue, very little is known about howcortical centers control and respond to fatigue. The main purpose of this study was toexamine the fatigue effects on the central nervous system by analyzing the bio-signalscollected in the designed experiments. Healthy human subjects were asked to perform a..tested for theQ1 PC1 bus cardBoth these projects mere sofixare des elopment efforts tonards contributing to dlfferentaspects of Roboucs and lZ1echatronics projects m the Controls and Roboucs Group..
