T h e first corztrzbutzon I S a method t o facilztatefingerprznt sensor znteroperabzlzty that zn~lolves the comparzson 0.f fingerprznt Lrnages orzgmatzngfrom nzultzple sensors. The proposed techmque models the relatzonshzp between zrnages acquzredby two d7flewnt sensors uszng a Thzn Plate S p l ~ n e ( T P S ) funct7on. Such a cal~bratlon modelzs observed t o enhance the ~nter-sensor rnatchzng performance o n the AISU dataset contaznzngm a g e s from optzcal and capac7tzzle sensors. Experzments zndlcate that the proposed calzbrat~orrschenze zmproves the mter-sensor Genuzne Accept Rate ( G A R ) by 35 t o 40 at a FalseAccept Rate ( F A R ) of 0.01 . T h e second co7ztrzbutzon I S a techn~que t o znco7-porate the localzrnage qzlalzty 7nfor7natzon 7n the fingerpr7nt match7ng process. E x p e r z e n t o n the F V C 2002ond ZOO4 datnbases suggest the potentla1 of thzs scheme t o zmprove the matchmg performanceof a genemc fingerprznt.
