Abstract	:	Volatile organic compounds are known to cause harm to humans and are ever present invarying concentrations around us. Studies show that the levels of concentration ofvolatile organics are far greater indoors than outdoors and thus detection of levels ofthese are of paramount importance. Current methods of detection do not provide in-situindication of levels of pollution. The aim of this thesis is to develop a Gas sensor systemwith associated sensor electronics that is capable of detecting trace quantities of a gas in agiven environment..
