Abstract : Low temperature fuel cells operating on H:! or methanol is touted to be the powersource alternative to fossil fuels and batteries because of their efficiency andenvironmental friendliness. Its development, however, is severely limited. among otherthings, by the deactivation of the anode electrocatalyst by CO either present as animpurity or as a reaction intermediate.
