Abstract : Data transmitted through a communication channel becomes corrupted because ofnoise. Error-control codes are used to estimate the actual transmitted data from its cor-rupted version. Iterative error control codes provide performance close to theoritical limits.Analog implementations of these decoders offer several advantages over their digital coun-terparts.Proper analysis and study of analog decoders requires fast and accurate simulation tech-niques. Though SPICE is the most accurate simulation tool available to circuit designers,it is time consuming. Abstract dynamical models incorporated into behavioral simulationsare a promising alternative..
