Abstract	:	The lnfrared camera system can support 40 MHz pixel rate digital dataacquisition with the infrared camera head. It consists of a camera head and thecomputer based acquisition system.To use the sonic IR technique, the cameras must be fast enough torecord the rapid thermal bloom that arises from the high diffusivity of heat inmetal. This requires that the integration time for the detector array needs to beon the order of a few milliseconds.
