Abstract	:	Control of distributed parameter systems has been an active research area. This thesispresent,a few research results on different, but related, topics.The thesis mainly focused on the following problems: boundary control of DPS sys-tems subject to delays, the performance comparison between the integer order boundarycontroller and the fractional order boundary controller, and the difference between bound-ary control of the wave equation and boundary control of the time-fractional order waveequation.Specifically, the following topics were studied: a new simulation method for control.
