Abstract	:	Passive UHF RFID tags suffer from performance degradation when placed nearconductors and high dielectric substances. Microstrip RFID tags offer a potentialsolution to this metal-water problem associated with passive UHF RFID tags.However, their use is limited by narrow bandwidth, manufacturing complexity,because of, the need cross-layered construction and therefore cost. We present a newantenna and matching circuit design using balanced feed that eliminates any referenceto ground, provides moderate gain and has broadband impedance matching for lowcost metal-mountable RFID tags..
