Abstract	:	The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), derived from the AdvancedVery High Resolution Radiometer data, plays a key role in detecting terrestrial vegetationgreenness of large geographic areas. The quantitative relationship between the NDVI andprecipitation is an important component in the understanding of climate and vegetationinteractions. Although a large number of investigations have been conducted on t h srelationshp, it has not been sufficiently studied due to the complexity of vegetationdynamics, including lag and seasonality effects on vegetation response to moistureavailability.To achieve a better understanding.
