Abstract : Data are presented to quantify how oxygen diffusing across a catalyst coatedmembrane (CCM) from the cathode side affects the performance of a PEMFC operatingwith low levels of CO in the H2 feed and a Pt-Ru anode. The extent of CO poisoning, asmeasured by the anode overpotential was decreased when the cathode backpressure wasincreased fiom 101.
