Abstract	:	With 7.5 GHz of spectrum, Ultra Wide Band (UWB) is an idealcandidate for achieving high data rates over short distances with low cost andlow power consumption. In this thesis, we propose a simple pulse design methodthat uses a linear combination of two Gaussian derivatives to meet the FCCspectral mask requirements. In particular, it is shown that a linear combination offirst derivative Gaussian.
