Abstract	:	One of the main barriers for the proliferation of photovoltaic (PV) systems inpower distribution networks is the concern over possible islanding, i.e., when a discon-nected part of the power network remains energized by the connected PV systems fora significant time interval. Islanding is undesirable for a number of reasons includingsafety hazards to utility personnel, and potential damage to equipment . Numerousanti-islanding techniques have been proposed and implemented in present-day grid-tie.
