Abstract	:	Automatic face recognition has a lot of application areas, such as biometrics, infor-mation security, law enforcement, surveillance, smart cards and access control etc.Current single-camera face recognition has severe limitations when the subject is notcooperative, or there are pose changes and different illumination conditions. Facerecognition using multiple synchronized cameras is proposed to overcome the limita-tions in this dissertation. The major contributions indude illumination insensitive.
